to raise money for your organization.

Fundraising on the Internet: How to Succeed is an in-depth examination of best practices drawn from today's most successful online fundraising organizations. Developed by industry experts, including Ted Hart, President of the ePhilanthropyFoundation ,and Mike Johnston, author of The Fundraiser's Guide to the Internet, this course covers the key elements of building a successful online fundraising strategy, including:

  • ePhilanthropyFoundation's 10 rules of online fundraising and code of ethics for online philanthropy
  • Best practices in online fundraising (direct donations, monthly giving, planned giving, special appeals, online auctions and more)
  • Designing your website to maximize online donations
  • Working with Portals and APSs (Application Service Providers)
  • How to market your website using banners and email solicitation
  • Planning and executing an online fundraising campaign

Class participants will examine these elements in detail and by the end of the course, each participant will have the tools and knowledge to guide their organization to greater online fundraising success.

The course is presented using nonprofitlearning.com's interactive online classroom, which combines live "chat" class time, structured webtours, and offline readings and assignments. This unique approach to online learning, developed over the past four years, allows learners to fit the class work into their own individual schedules, while preserving the benefits of class interaction and peer learning.

The primary course text is the recently published sourcebook:

Fundraising on the Internet: The ePhilanthropy Foundation's Guide to Success Online

Guest experts who will participate in this course will include a number of authors who contributed to this book.
